The yuletide season has come and gone, however in the sleepy village of Oraifite, Anambra State, country home of Sir Emeka Offor, the Chairman of Chrome Group (www.thechromegroup.net), ushering the New Year was an exihilarating experience.
The Blaze Blast, an annual musical concert organized and hosted by Blaze 91.5 FM, the number one radio station East of the Niger, took place on the 30th and 31st of December, 2012. Blaze FM is a subsidiary of The Chrome Group, a leading West African oil and gas conglomerate.
The two-day annual event in the mode of such international concerts as, Star mega Jam, Rhythm Unplugged, Soundcity blast etc, by every standard; from stage, to sound, to lighting, paraded the best of Nigerian acts such as Africa’s number one R&B sensation Tuface Idibia, Mavin records crooner, Wande Coal, Flavour N’abania and Timaya. Others included Konvict Music’s hiphop duo Psquare, MTN Project Fame winner, Chidinma, Wizboy, Bracket, Duncan Mighty, Ill Bliss, Phyno, Dj Jimmy Jatt, as well as Ace comedians-Basket Mouth, Gbenga Adeyinka, Ceaser, MC Lord El and over 50 upcoming artistes.
