Kaztec Engineering Ltd. Pioneer Project with Shell: Formal Signing of Package 1 of the EPC Trans-Niger Pipeline Loopline Project
PORT HARCOURT, NIGERIA, July 3, 2013 - Kaztec Engineering Ltd., (www.kaztec-eng.com), a leading indigenous engineering, procurement and construction management (EPIC-M) company today announced it has concluded the formal signing of the contract for Package 1 of the EPC Trans-Niger Pipeline Loopline Project for Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria (SPDC). This is the first major project to be executed by Kaztec Engineering Ltd. for Shell. The event took place at the SPDC Office, Port Harcourt, Nigeria, with high-powered delegations from both parties in attendance.

The objective of the project is to construct a 30-inch, 12.5-kilometre loopline from the Ogale manifold to TP 1, in Rivers State, Nigeria. The EPC Trans-Niger Pipeline Loopline project as divided into three packages, I, II and III. Kaztec Engineering won the contract for Package 1, having been chosen on the strength of its recent track record in the oil and gas sector.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Operating Officer (COO), Kaztec Engineering Ltd, Ikechukwu Okpala, assured Shell of Kaztec`s delivery on time and quality, promising them that they would get a taste of the “Kaztec Magic”.
The signing of the contract was done by the General Manager, Offshore and Shallow Water Projects, SPDC, Mr Toyin Olagunju, and Chioma Ogunuka, Contracting and Procurement Lead Pipeline Projects, on behalf of SPDC, and the Executive Chairman, Kaztec Engineering Ltd., Sir Emeka Offor, and the COO of KEL, Ikechukwu Okpala, for Kaztec.
At the conclusion of the signing ceremony, the General Manager, SPDC, Toyin Olagunju, remarked that he looked forward to the successful completion of the project. He called for a world-class performance on all aspects of the project, with particular attention to safety and environment. He advocated for zero-incident execution of the project.
Speaking in closing, the Executive Chairman of Kaztec Engineering Ltd., Sir Emeka Offor, declared that Shell can rest assured of KEL`s commitment to deliver and even surpass all expectations of the project. He said he was glad to join the Shell family, and looked forward to a productive partnership with Shell in the years to come.
