Group Legal Adviser/Company Secretary
|
|
Responsibilities
-
Provide overall strategy direction in legal matters for the group while overseeing and ensuring compliance with regulatory authorities

Provide leadership and direction for external solicitors as well as ensuring quality attendance at courts in respect of litigation that the group is party to
-
Has overall responsibility for preparation and vetting of contractual documents, agreements , etc

Oversee the group’s secretariat as well as its subsidiaries and affiliates

Ensure the preparation and maintenance of a comprehensive database of the group’s legal documents

Initiate the development of a world class legal department for the group
Qualifications

A good Bachelors Degree in Law (Minimum Second Class Upper) and certificate of call to the Bar

Membership of Institute of Chartered Secretaries And Administrators of Nigeria is essential

Membership of any of the Alternative Dispute Resolution professional bodies is essential

Responsibilities
- Coordinate various activities to deliver the company’s projects within commercial and technical specifications
- Develop Project Definition Documents (PDD) with clear objectives and financial deliverables
- Develop, publish and track progress against project tasks and milestones
- Act as the primary control point for managing projects
- Identify risk issues related to the company’s projects and recommend appropriate action to mitigate the risks
Qualifications
- A good University Degree in Engineering (not below Second Class Lower) from a reputable university
- Minimum of 10 years post qualification experience, five of which must be in a similar position in a well-run engineering firm
- Membership of the Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN)

Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimate/budget
- Establish cost trend (cost tracking and forecasting process)
- Monitor cost to minimize cost over run
- Develop project schedule in collaboration with project engineer/manager
- Monitor schedule to ensure timely completion of projects
- Develop plan for invoice verification
- Establish change order/variation procedure and follow up
- Issue weekly, monthly cost report, or as required by the project manager
Qualifications
- A good HND or B Sc degree in Accountancy (not below Lower Credit or Second Class Lower)
- Minimum of 8 years post qualification experience, preferably in a large EPC firm

Responsibilities
- Supervise subcontractors’ site works for substation and OHTL scope and guide them for optimum performance
- Liaise with Project Consultant/Client representatives at site for smooth execution of projects
- Ensure compliance to quality standards as per the technical specification during all site activities
- Prepare all necessary reports and data for the Project Manager as per schedule
Qualifications
- A good University Degree/ HND in Electrical or Civil Engineering (not below Second Class Lower/ Lower Credit) from a reputable institution
- Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in the execution of HV/ EHV substation & transmission lines. He should have executed OHTL (Overhead Transmission Line) projects up to 330/ 132 KV on turnkey basis as a project/ resident engineer

The incumbent shall be responsible for the accounting function reporting directly to the General Manager of the company.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures and overall internal control framework
- Responsible for the preparation of regular management and financial reports, cost and budget controls and compliance with relevant regulations
- Ensure efficient funds management and liaison with the banks
Qualifications
- A good BSc/HND (not below Second Class Lower/ Lower Credit) in Accounting from a reputable institution
- Membership of recognized professional accounting body
- Demonstrable financial reporting experience in related businesses for at least 5 years

| Operations Manager (Petroleum Products Trading) |
|
Responsibilities
- Liaise with PPMC to ensure that all letters to the company from PPMC are received promptly and necessary responses are made on time
- Liaise with regulatory authorities such as NNPC, DPR and Ministry of Energy and ensure that all licenses are intact and valid
- Liaise with relevant agencies at the ports to ensure prompt release of vessels for discharge
- Liaise with third parties such as ship agents, ships, lenders, refineries, off-takers of products such as crude oil, fuel oil, condensate etc and suppliers of motor spirit and dual purpose kerosene
- Monitor the PPMC product delivery system (includes Atlas Cove and Mosimi Depots and transfer pipeline between the depots) to ensure that Laycans are within periods that are feasible and to avoid or at least minimize delays in product discharge
- Follow up on all payments due from PPMC and off takers and network with officials of PPMC, NNPC and other industry players to ensure that the company is abreast of market developments
- Supervise the discharge of products from vessels in conjunction with the company’s partners
- Develop strategies towards minimizing or eliminating demurrage
- Any other responsibilities that may be assigned to you
Qualifications
- A good Bachelors Degree in any of the Social Sciences (not below Second Class Lower)
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience with PPMC or a leading petroleum products trading company
- Knowledge of regulations affecting petroleum products trading in domestic and international markets is very essential
- Not more than 30 years old
Capability Must be a self starter, motivated, task-oriented team player able to work in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities
- The incumbent shall be responsible for the banking & cash operations of the Head Office reporting to the Group Chief Accountant at the Chrome Group Headquarters.
- He shall be the primary interface between the Group and its bankers on all banking services. In addition, he shall also interface with staff and third parties who expect payments from the company.
- Ensure complete documentation capturing the full essence of transactions, approvals and compliance with applicable regulations
Qualifications
- A good Bachelors Degree/ HND in Accounting (not below Second Class Lower/ Lower Credit) from a reputable institution
- Should not be above 40 years old
Capabilities
- An independent-minded individual with enough strength of character to put the company first in all dealings, and to strictly enforce the ideals of strict corporate governance in a high paced commercial environment, not minding any other contending interests.
- Should be conversant with banking operations and demonstrate proficiency in the use of spreadsheets and word processing packages.
- Maturity in dealing with people generally will be an advantage for this position.

Responsibilities
- Continuously explore methods of improving the internal control structures and the overall standard of Corporate Governance in every facet of the Group’s operations
- Regularly undertake independent appraisal of the effectiveness of the policies, procedures and standards by which the financial, physical and information resources are managed
- Carry out reviews of company’s resources.
- Collaborate effectively with the external auditors to achieve audit & other objectives and the implementation of recommendations.
Qualifications
- A good Bachelors Degree/ HND in Accounting (not below Second Class Lower/ Lower Credit) from a reputable institution plus a professional accounting qualification
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive, responsible and verifiable accounting and auditing experience is required
